The International Centre for Refugee and Migration Studies (ICRMS) is excited to announce a remarkable opportunity for dynamic and committed professionals. We are actively searching for a dedicated Admin and Finance Officer to join our team on a full-time basis until March 2025.

Position Details:

Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management:
    • Oversee all financial management processes, including budgeting, expenditure management, and reconciliation of funds.
    • Prepare financial statements, monthly reports, and management information reports as required.
    • Ensure timely completion of internal and external audits, and provide assistance in finalizing and auditing books of accounts.
    • Manage funds efficiently, including financial planning and compliance with statutory requirements.
    • Liaise with stakeholders to address financial matters and complete assigned tasks promptly.
  2. Compliance Management:
    • Ensure compliance with government funding procedures and various guidelines related to financial management.
    • Audit funds, furnish utilization certificates, and maintain records of expenditures, donations, and other financial documents.
    • Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for financial management.
    • Stay updated with financial regulations and compliance standards, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.
  3. Administrative Duties:
    • Assist in managing administrative tasks related to office operations, procurement, and vendor management.
    • Maintain records, files, and documents related to funds, expenditures, and other administrative matters.
    • Prepare reports and documentation for meetings, presentations, and audits.
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth functioning of administrative processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in finance and compliance management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Peachtree, or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of government funding procedures and compliance guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with stakeholders and presenting financial reports.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to meet deadlines and manage audits efficiently.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
