Short Biography:

Dr. Zobia Noreen is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biosciences, COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI). Having earned her M. Phil degree from Quaid-I-Azam University, Islamabad in 2006, she joined CUI as a Lecturer in 2007 and later attained her doctoral degree from the Microbiology and Public Health Lab at COMSATS University in 2019. She has worked as a visiting researcher in Structural Biology Lab, National University of Singapore (NUS) under HEC IRSIP scholarship where she has resolved the crystal structure of Hemolysin coregulatory protein (Hcp) of C. jejuni and has identified its role in pathogenesis. She has a cumulative experience of 14 years of research and teaching at University Level. Her research interests include clinical microbiology, molecular epidemiology/surveillance, structural basis of pathogenesis and nano-biotechnology. She has been an active team member of national and international research projects. She has published 30 research papers in peer reviewed impact factor journals.
