The International Center for Refugee and Migration Studies (ICRMS), in collaboration with UNHCR, conducted an internship interview session on April 24, 2025, for Afghan refugee students who had previously qualified through a written test. The interviews were held at the BUITEMS Conference Room, providing an opportunity for shortlisted candidates to demonstrate their potential for participation in the upcoming internship cycle.
A total of 13 candidates were shortlisted for the interviews, 11 male and 2 female students. The interview panel included:
- Haider Zaman, Assistant Protection Officer, UNHCR
- Kazim, Liaison Officer, ICRMS
- Hifsa Ghafoor, Project Manager, ICRMS
The session was further honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Zahid Rauf, Director of ICRMS, who visited the conference room during the proceedings. His presence served as an encouragement for both the panelists and candidates.
The interview panel assessed candidates based on their educational qualifications, personal goals, and overall readiness for the internship experience. Discussions focused on how the students envisioned contributing to and benefiting from the program. The interviews were conducted in a professional and organized environment, ensuring each student had the opportunity to present their case fairly.
The next stage in the process involves evaluating the interview outcomes and finalizing the list of selected interns based on merit, commitment, and potential to grow through this opportunity.
