Call for Journalistic Video Documentary 2025

ICRMS-BUITEMS is set to release journalistic reports focusing on global refugee issues. The report will delve into the political, economic, and environmental roots of displacement worldwide, providing valuable insights into the complexities of forced migration. The initiative aims to enhance understanding not only of global refugee crises but also of the specific challenges Afghan refugees face in Balochistan. Through compelling narratives, we aspire to contribute to informed discussions and heighten awareness of these critical issues.

Video Report Documentary (Urdu with English subtitles)

  • Applicants must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in videography and the language they choose to record videos in (Urdu or English).
  • Preference will be given to candidates with substantial experience in the mass media sector.
  • Candidates with a strong portfolio of showcased, aired, or published documentary reports, investigative documentaries, or visual storytelling pieces on on-air or online platforms will be prioritized.
  • A 16-year education in Journalism, Media Studies, Mass Communication, International Relations, Political Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Stories of resilience: Refugee and host community in focus
  • Addressing negative perception of Afghan refugees in Pakistan.

The applicant must submit their latest CV along with a single document proposal containing:

  • Theme title
  • Candidate name
  • General idea of the report, comprising storytelling approach, (Max 250)
  • Execution plan and data collection method (Max 250)
  • Timeframe and Milestones
  • A sample video/documentary report published by the candidate/team

Note: To maximize outreach and foster greater public awareness, the selected candidate must publish the final video report documentary in anyone of the following media channels:
