Call for Journalistic Report 2026
ICRMS-BUITEMS is set to release two journalistic reports focusing on global refugee issues. These reports will delve into the political, economic, and environmental roots of displacement worldwide, providing valuable insights into the complexities of forced migration. The initiative aims to enhance understanding not only of global refugee crises but also of the specific challenges Afghan refugees face in Pakistan. Through compelling narratives, we aspire to contribute to informed discussions and heighten awareness of these critical issues.

2: Urdu Report
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the language they choose to write or report in (Urdu or English).
- Candidates must have proven experience in the mass media sector.
- Preference will be given to candidates with published journalistic reports on human rights, migration, refugees, social issues, or related themes in international or national dailies.
- A minimum of sixteen (16) years of education in Journalism, Media Studies, Mass Communication, International Relations, Political Science, or a related field is required.
Themes for English Report
- Humanitarian Challenges at Border Areas (Chaman & Torkham) An in-depth journalistic report examining humanitarian and socio-economic challenges in the Pakistan–Afghanistan border regions, including displacement, access to basic services, protection concerns, and the impact on communities and families living in border areas.
- Stories of Resilience Amid Uncertainty Exploring the lived experiences of Afghan refugees navigating protection challenges, resettlement pathways, legal uncertainties, and their efforts to rebuild dignified lives in Pakistan.
