Call for Moderator & Report Writer

The International Center for Refugee and Migration Studies (ICRMS) is organizing three one-day policy dialogues, each addressing a distinct topic on refugee issues in Pakistan. We are seeking experienced individuals with sound knowledge of Afghan refugees, migration, and related challenges to serve as Moderator and Report Writer for these events. Interested applicants may apply for any one event of their choice.

Event Topics:

  1. Analyzing the Role of Afghan Refugees in the Supply Chain in Pakistan
  2. Refugee Labour Contribution in Natural Resource Extraction in Pakistan: A Case Study of the Mining Sector in Balochistan
  3. Refugee Healthcare Access in Pakistan: Assessing Balochistan’s Disaster Response Policies and Workmen Compensation Act for Refugee Labor Rights

Application Deadline:

Applications must be received by 19th September 2025

Note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further steps of the selection process.

Moderator’s Role:

  • Introduce speakers and set the tone of the dialogue.
  • Guide discussions with relevant and thought-provoking questions.
  • Ensure balanced participation of all panelists and audience.
  • Maintain focus, decorum, and timing of the session.
  • Possess background knowledge of refugee issues and challenges, particularly related to Afghan refugees.

Report Writer’s Role:

  • Document the key highlights and outcomes of the dialogue.
  • Prepare a clear, structured, and comprehensive event report.
  • Ensure accuracy in capturing contributions of panelists and participants.
  • Have background knowledge of refugee issues and challenges, particularly related to Afghan refugees.
